Body Pictures-- Summer Camp

I am teaching 3 summer art sessions.  Each session is two hours long with one or two art projects.  For this session, I had 2 students going into 4/5th grade, 2 students who just finished kindergarten, and one student going into kindergarten.  It was a small class, which was perfect for this project, since the pictures were LARGE.

To start, we traced our bodies on large butcher paper.  Then, we outlined them with markers and used collage materials (magazine images, stickers, tape and paint) to create an artwork about ourselves.

Hey there! I will be looking forward to visit your page again and for your other posts as well. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about summer camps in your area. I am glad to stop by your site and know more about summer camps. Keep it up! This is a good read.
Australian Defence Force Cadets often and almost exclusively run their extended camps and courses over school holiday periods, the vast majority of which provide all food and lodging for Cadets over the course of the camp. However, these camps often last only one or two weeks and thus do not fill up the majority of the summer holiday break. This allows the Cadets (who are aged 12–18 years and therefore the majority attend school) to attend the camps whilst still completing normal schooling.
Summer Academies (Grades 2-8): Programs are theme-based and last 3 hours per day 4 days per week. 1st – 5th grade and 6th – 8th grade levels are offered, and each student receives individual interaction to so that the academy’s activities are aligned with their level of ability and interest.
