I love this collage and several of the sketchbook pages. Do you ever comment about your process (eg. how you created the above collage)? I really like it when artists share their techniques and I am a beginner so I am looking to find more of that. Thanks, Vicki Sheppard
Vicki, Thanks for your comment. I haven't really commented much about the processes of these artworks. This one I know I used fabric spray paints all over the paper. Then, cut other fabrics and patterned papers and glued them to the paper, probably with a matte medium. Then, smudged gesso in spots with a cotton ball to soften the look. The photograph was altered by soaking it in water and then using sandpaper to scrape away the background. Then I used watercolor paints to paint on top of the photo's background. The letters were rub-on letters. I will try to write more about how I made my artworks as I post new posts. Thanks for commenting!
