Haha! I love this one! And, your challenge inspired me to make my own! http://artfulartsyamy.blogspot.com/2012/02/what-i-do-meme-art-teacher-edition.html
LOVE! So true. . . A substitute had nothing to do for an hour and it was my last plan before a long weekend. They sent her to the art room to help. I gave her an apron and we started scrubbing tables, countertops, scraping with razorblades thick paint off of stuff. . . and she tells me "I used to clean houses but I hated it!" Oh well! This is what I do every spare minute when I'm not organizing, wiping noses or answering really tough questions. . . people will never understand the many hats we have to wear in just a few short hours. We are not above anything!
LOVE this! I taught art for 4 years and am currently on a break to stay home with my baby. The cleaning is rather spot-on! And the principal part strikes a chord, because the clueless administrator reviewing me at the high school in 09' mentioned the room was a "mess". Um, if I was a math teacher, he had a point. But we were in the MIDDLE of a project that involved ART SUPPLIES! At that point, he didn't review me when we were going over the historical element of the lesson or the notetaking when there wasn't stuff everywhere! I swear, if an administrator was a former PE teacher, he/she shouldn't be reviewing Art Teachers! (sorry...got a little angry there at the memory for a bit...back to 2012!)
